Help & FAQ

PayAnchor is a paycheck-first budgeting app. It helps you see exactly what's left after your bills — your cushion — so you always know what you can safely spend before your next payday.

Add your net pay and pay schedule, then add your recurring bills. PayAnchor will calculate your cushion automatically for each paycheck.

Your cushion is your net pay minus all bills due in a paycheck period. It's what's truly left after your obligations are covered.

Recurring bills repeat on a schedule and automatically roll forward to each paycheck. One-time bills are single charges you add manually. Both are marked as completed once their paycheck period passes — recurring bills when their final paycheck clears, one-time bills when paid and the period ends. Completed bills remain visible in past paychecks as paid history but never appear in current or upcoming paychecks.

Yes. Tap any unpaid bill row and select "Move to another paycheck."

Your cushion is based on planned bills, not actual payments. Marking bills paid helps you track progress but doesn't change your cushion calculation.

Savings buckets let you set aside a fixed amount each paycheck toward a specific goal — like an emergency fund or vacation. They're separate from your cushion.

Create a savings bucket with a goal amount. Set a per-paycheck contribution and PayAnchor automatically deducts it from your cushion each payday. Or leave the contribution blank and add money manually whenever you want. Track your progress toward any goal.

Create a debt goal and link it to an existing bill. Set your current balance and PayAnchor tracks your payoff progress automatically. Every time you mark that bill paid, the payment is logged toward your balance. You can view your full payment history and add manual payments anytime. Free users get one debt goal. Pro users get unlimited.

Yes. Pro plan supports unlimited income sources. Add your primary paycheck plus any side income — PayAnchor factors all of them into your cushion based on which pay dates fall within each paycheck period.

Pausing a bill keeps it in your list but removes it from your cushion calculation temporarily. It won't count against your spending power until you resume it. Useful for bills you've temporarily stopped paying.

One-time bills that have been paid and whose paycheck period has passed are automatically marked as completed. They stay visible in your past paycheck history and in Bills → Manage bills → Completed, but never appear in future paychecks.

Your cushion divided by the number of days until your next payday. It tells you how much you can spend each day without touching money needed for bills.
